Georgia DDS System Update

I recently received word that the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) will be updating its online portal this month and shifting over to a new system that will be more secure. The new system will be called DRIVES, and it will allow Georgia drivers to view the status of their license, ID, or permit, track points on their license, pay fees, and change contact information.

Due to the implementation of this new system, the DDS Online Services portal, as well as its mobile app (called DDS2Go) will be unavailable from 6pm on January 13, 2021 to January 18, 2021. The new system will go live on January 19, 2021.

In order to use the new system, users will be required to create new accounts for the updated system. Until a new account is created, users will not be able to access their information.

Furthermore, DDS Customer Service Centers will be closed from January 14, 2021 until January 19, 2021.

If you have questions about the status of your license, or if you are facing a traffic charge that has you worried about your Georgia license, feel free to get in touch today.
